Active cases in Crittenden County drop as state numbers rise

ralphhardin@gmail.com Crittenden County Judge Woody Wheeless offered a look at the state of the state and county in regard to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Up-to-date numbers are:

• Cumulative Total of Positive cases: 26,803 (Up 751)

• Active Cases: 5,847

• Recovered: 20,642

• Hospitalized: 402 (Highest daily number to date)

• On a Ventalator: 84

• Deaths: 313 “Of the 751 new cases, 149 are from correctional facilities and 602 are from communities across the state,” said Wheeless.

According to the governor, 5,212 tests were performed during the past 24 hours.

Local numbers have seen improvements.

Crittenden County stats:

• Cumulative Total of Positive cases: 815

• Active Cases: 118 (Down from a high of 173)

• Recovered: 684

• Deaths: 13

• Negative Cases: 6,313 “Crittenden County continues to see a decrease in active cases,” Wheeless said. “I ask that you continue to do your part to further reduce this number.”
