*** So sad to hear about Dr. Fenter. Praying for him and all of the teachers as we get ready for the new school year.

Well well well… we finally got everyone to wear a mask and all it took was an order from the governor… I wonder how many people might still be alive if the president had made a national mask order back in March or April? Terrible thing pride and ego. Get over yourself and have some consideration for others.

[ Editor’s Note: If you read “ Preacher’s Point” on Page 4, Mr. Johnson is writing about trust and he asks some interesting questions, one of which is, “ Is wearing a mask showing compassion to your fellow man or surrendering your constitutional rights?” He’s asking to make the point that no matter which way you answer, someone is going to disagree with you.

My takeaway from that question, though, is, “ Are those our only two options?” I mean, how sad is it that there are a lot ( and I mean a LOT) of people who believe you can’t both care about your friends and neighbors and feel like you still live in a free country?]
