Marion Chamber MARION — The Marion Chamber of Commerce will be joining other members of the Arkansas Chamber community in celebrating Chamber of Commerce Week in Arkansas. Beginning Oct.

19, MCOC President and Director of Economic Development Tracy Brick will be visiting various members who have joined the Chamber over the past year.

An exciting addition to our celebration this year will be three $250 drawings to be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. All current members will automatically be entered and we will air a drawing each of those three days at 11am on Facebook Live. Friday’s drawing will be held during our second “pop-up” Food Truck Friday event.

The Marion Chamber was established in 1967 by a few area businessmen who contributed greatly to the civic and economic betterment of Marion. The mission of the Marion Chamber is still centered around those same goals to promote commercial and economic growth and to foster civic improvements that benefit those who live in and around Marion. The Chamber staff and Board of Directors work diligently to provide the citizens of Marion with a strong business environment that increases employment, retail trade and commerce, and industrial growth. The organization encourages the growth of existing businesses, while encouraging new businesses and new residents to locate to Marion.

The Marion Chamber ordinarily hosts several fundraising events during the year and also coordinates events for the City of Marion such as the annual Christmas Parade. The Chamber’s fundraising events are centered around community involvement and have in previous years included quarterly networking luncheons, the Marion Countryside Ride, the Chamber/Rotary Golf Tournament, the Annual Awards Banquet, and Hogs on the Square, which is optimistically scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7 this year.

The Chamber is also under contract with the City of Marion to provide other services such as maintaining the city’s website and providing social media services. Mrs. Brick has also been actively involved with helping establish the capital campaign for the anticipated permanent Sultana Disaster Museum, which is scheduled to open in 2023.

Tracy Brick serves as the organization’s President and Director of Economic Development and Cheryl Starling serves as the Office Administrator. The office is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8 a.m until noon.
