Eating Their Wounded
I tell you, it doesn't get any better for news than the week just past.
It's like a re-run of the 1998 science fiction film, Lost in Space, at the point where young Will Robinson sees alien spider creatures devouring each other and remarks, “Ewww, they eat their wounded.” Which actually turns out to be an example of a clever writing tool called “Chekhov's Gun” (named after the famous Russian author) and which is used like this in Hollywood:
' If you say in the first chapter that there is a rifle hanging on the wall, in the second or third chapter it absolutely must go off.
If it's not going to be fired, it shouldn't be hanging there.' – Anton Chekhov (From S. Shchukin, Memoirs. 1911.) In other words, it is going to come back somewhere in the plot.
And boy, has the Left been on a frenzy, eating their wounded of late-one after another of former Democrats in good standing-but now condemned by their own as well as others, to be ostracized persona non grata, like in a Hollywood script.
First, the case of Richard Dawkins, atheist darling of the Left and strident vocal adversary of religious thought for years.
He was stripped of his 1996 'humanist of the year' award after inviting discussion on transgender issues.
That's what I said, the American Humanist Association Board stripped him of an award from 25 years ago!
(That's retroactively for you millennials following along.) His sin?
Tweeting, ““ In 2015, Rachel Dolezal, a white chapter president of NAACP, was vilified for identifying as Black. Some men choose to identify as women, and some women choose to identify as men. You will be vilified if you deny that they literally are

' Nike, NBA Silent After LeBron James Tweets ' YOU'RE NEXT' at Columbus Cop.'
“A body-camera image released by the Columbus Division of Police shortly after the Tuesday shooting indicates that the Los Angeles Lakers star's interpretation
“The knife-wielding Ms.
Bryant appeared to bear down on another woman in Columbus, Ohio, just as the officer arrived on the scene (and saved her life by shooting the attacker.) “Yet, on Wednesday, James tweeted a photo of a white Columbus police officer with the caption, “You're next, #Accountability.”
“But after suffering a major backlash, the player deleted the tweet and attempted to claim that he deleted it to stop people from “creating more hate” over his message.
“The explanation for his removal of the tweet did not satisfy many. But regardless of whether the fans have accepted James' reasoning, his sponsors seem unconcerned by his tweet targeting a police officer.”
his sponsors were trumpeting his praises!
What a face-plant by a dim-witted, multi-millionaire, privileged dolt who cannot seem to even grasp the simple concept that a white police officer saving a black woman from being stabbed to death IS A GOOD THING!
And no amount of gaslighting
by LeBron James will change that fact.
Then, there's the cofounder of Black Lives Matter: Patrisse Khan-Cullors. From The Daily Wire:
“Thirty-seven-year-old Patrisse Khan-Cullors “went on a real estate buying binge, snagging four high-end homes for $3.2 million in the US alone, according to property records,” the New York Post reported Sunday.
“ Patrisse Khan- Cullors, 37, also eyed property in the Bahamas at an ultraexclusive resort where Justin Timberlake and Tiger Woods both have homes, The Post has learned. Luxury apartments and townhouses at the beachfront Albany resort outside Nassau are priced between $ 5 million and $ 20 million, according to a local agent… “ Khan-Cullors could be facing more than just fierce online criticism over the spending. According to the
“Hawk Newsome, the head of Black Lives Matter Greater New York City, called for 'an independent investigation' to find out how the global network spends its money.
“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” Newsome said. “It's really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it's the people that carry this movement.”
Also, there's this from the The Washington Examiner's Joseph Simonson, who reported Monday: “[O]n Thursday, the mother of Breonna Taylor, a black woman killed by police during a raid in March 2020, charged that the movement in her city of Louisville, Kentucky, is nothing more than a scam.
“I have never personally dealt with BLM Louisville, and personally have found them to be fraud,” Tamika Palmer wrote on Facebook. “Last month, the father of Michael Brown, an 18year-old shot and killed by police officers in Ferguson, Missouri, asked Black Lives Matter a simple question: “Where is all that money going?”
“A review of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation's financial documents found the group raised nearly $100 million in 2020, of which less than $40 million was spent in the last year.”
And, as of this date, appears there has been a
new twist in the developing story of so-called Marxist, Khan-Cullors.
She also has a side hustle going on as well-at least according to the New York Post. This is from the article: ' Big tech bankrolls BLM co- founder's PAC, charities in exchange for support.'
“Big Tech has showered Black Lives Matter cofounder Patrisse Khan-Cullors' PAC and charities with millions in donations and censors her online critics – as she backs their battle to control the internet.
“Philanthropists linked to Facebook, Twitter and Netflix have donated more than $7.5 million to a host of non-profits controlled by Khan-Cullors, who has helped them lobby for “net neutrality.”
Appears she is doing a little “something/something” for Big Tech-and it's not for the average American's benefit.
Like, I said…a good week!
