2021 Mr. & Miss West Memphis Christian named

As part of West Memphis Christian School’s 2021 graduation ceremonies for its Class of 2021, the Black Knights recognized four Valedictorians.

■ Amelia (Mia) Kennedy: Mia has attended WMCS for 4 Years. She is the daughter of Jason and Drema Kennedy. Mia was a Cheerleader in her junior and most of her Senior Year, She was in the BETA club, MU Alpha Theta, Math club, and Honor Society. She was also a part of Junior Leadership her freshman year, and voted #1 leader among her peers. During her 7th grade year at West Junior High, she was selected by Duke University to take her ACT test early as one of West Memphis TAG students.

■ Jayna Leeann Harris: Jayna has attended WMCS for the past 6 years. She is the daughter of William and Pam Harris. Jayna is a member of the Beta Club and Mu Alpha Theta. Jayna has been working the election polls for the past two years. She plans to attend ASU Jonesboro to attain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

■ Holly Grace Farrah: Holly has attended West Memphis Christian for 13 years. She is the daughter of Mike and Kaye Farrah. Holly has played piano since she was 5 years old. She took her _rst lessons in kindergarten from Mrs. Englehart at WMCS and then Mrs. Melanie Meurrier. Currently, she is under the instruction of Alan Zirkle and Dr. Lauren Shack Clark. Holly has been on the “All A’s” honor roll every year. She is a member of MU ALPHA THETA and the BETA Club. She has placed in numerous piano competitions and recently won the J.D. Kelly Piano Competition and the University of Central Arkansas Piano Festival. She will be attending Arkansas State University in the fall and will major in Piano Performance.

■ Elizabeth Grace Patterson: Grace has attended WMCS for 14 years. She is the daughter of Shane and Nicole Patterson. Grace has been a part of the softball, volleyball, basketball, and tennis teams during her time at WMC. She has also been a part of the National Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, The National Society for High School Scholars, and served as the Student Council President. She has maintained All-A Honor Roll throughout the entirety of her WMCS academic career. Grace will be attending the University of Arkansas in the Fall. She will be majoring in Biology with hopes of attending Medical School and becoming an Emergency Physician.

Also recognized at the ceremony were 2021 Mr. & Miss WMCS: They were Ryan Stewart and Grace Patterson.
