Hello I am trying to see if your capable of sending me the newspaper clippings of when the West Memphis Blue Imps won the city and conference championship undefeated for the first time. I think it was 19981999 season. I was trying to do a scrapbook of all the articles that they were in for a loved one. [ Editor’s Note: Interesting that this is the second such request I’ve gotten this week ( someone looking for old copies of the paper). I actually don’t know if we ever kept a complete catalog of back issue simply due to the sheer size of space that would take. But whatever archives we had were lost when the original Crittenden Publishing Company building burned down in 2006. The best I can do is tell you what I tell most other folks who are looking for old newspaper articles… I have been told on numerous occasions that the Memphis Public Library at one time kept a pretty extensive collection of our old papers on microfilm, which I know doesn’t really help with scrapbooking, but it’s about the most

much. They are definitely still working on repairs and I think you’re at least about six weeks premature in hoping for a reopening on any level. It’s either safe or it’s not. Opening one lane would not be any safer that opening the whole thing. I do hear traffic is much improved on I- 55 this week though]

*** Didn’t the paper used to run pictures of all the kindergarten graduations?

The high school paper looked nice but it would have been nice to see the little ones get some recognition too! [ Editor’s Note: We have most years run a few, but I didn’t get any this year for some reason]
