Vacation Bible School is back this year at West Memphis First United Methodist Church! VBS kids will go on The Quest of the Knights of North Castle. VBS is set for July 11-13, 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

The 2021 Marion Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet will be held Thursday, Sept. 16. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., program at 7 p.m., at the Eugene Woods Civic Center.

DeltaARTS Janine Earney Celebrity Carnival The 2021 Janine Earney Celebrity Carnival presented by DeltaARTS returns on Saturday, August 28.

J.W. Rich Girls Club Summer Program The J.W. Rich Girls Club will be holding its annual summer program beginning May 31 through Aug. 31.

Hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Summer activities will include arts & crafts, water fun days, music & dance, sports activities and more. The cost is $70 per week, per child (with a 20 percent discount for paying the entire fee in full). Lunch and a snack will be provided. Visit the J.W. Steudlein Food Program

The Frank C. Steudlein Learning Center is participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program.

This program will provide meals to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals are provided at 207 Balfour Rd., and at 1600 Avondale Circle, in West Memphis, Arkansas. The program will provide breakfast, lunch and a p.m.

snack, Monday through Friday during the programming year.

Civil Air Patrol

Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.

Volunteer Drivers Needed Jim Fiveash, the commander of the American Legion Post 53 needs Volunteer Van Drivers to transport veterans who live in Crittenden County to their VA appointments at the Memphis VA Medical Center and the new Primary Clinic in East Memphis.
