Car theft arrest made

Dowell in custody on felony charge

West Memphis Police arrested Orlando Dowell as a driver of a stolen vehicle earlier this month. Citizens may remember Dowell as he wore a distinctive black balaclava styled ski mask with red capital letters ‘FOX 13 GANG’ and tattoos on his forearms. Police suspect him in other car thefts and asked the public for help connecting him to those cases.

City Communications Director Nick Coulter explained.

“Dowell had in his possession items which led officers to believe he has been involved in other vehicle thefts in the area,” said Coulter.
