The Marion School District has released its calendar for the monthly School Board meetings for the 2021-22 school year. All meetings are held at 6 p.m., at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. Meetings will take place on: Oct. 21, 2021.

Henry Bell Open The 5th Annual Henry Bell Open will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at the Meadowbrook Country Club. The 4-person scramble will include hole-in-one prizes, longest drive holes, closest-to-the-pin contests and more. The entry fee is $80 per player ($320 for a team of 4) and includes the cart and course fee.

First place will have a cash prize. Hole sponsorships are available. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Civil Air Patrol Civil Air Patrol meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the ASU Aviation Technical Center, 737 Taxiway Drive, in West Memphis. Young people ages 12 and up can join the cadet program. Adults are needed to support the cadet program and emergency service operations.

Volunteer Drivers Needed Jim Fiveash, the commander of the American Legion Post 53 needs Volunteer Van Drivers to transport veterans who live in Crittenden County to their VA appointments at the Memphis VA Medical Center and the new Primary Clinic in East Memphis.
