[Editor’s Note: Well, that’s unfortunate. I will say that this is literally the _rst complaint I’ve received about someone not getting their paper on time since we switched to a by-mail delivery system. I don’t want to be pointing _ngers at anyone but there’s really nothing we can do once the papers are in the hands of the USPS. I don’t know what happened with your November 17th edition of the Times that didn’t happen with everyone else’s, but hopefully it was a one-time issue. Weird that you did eventually get it and that it wasn’t simply “lost in the mail” forever. I suppose the old Commercial Appeal slogan applies here: “If you haven’t read it, it’s still news!” But in all seriousness, sorry for the mix-up and delay] The non-existence of lane markings on city streets, county and state highways throughout the state of Arkansas is deplorable and dangerous especially for senior citizens and night! [Editor’s Note: Hey, senior citizens don’t get to corner the market on not being able to see at night. If I venture out in the daylight hours and my errands keep me out past dark, it is an adventure navigating my way back home under the glare of the headlights and scant few street lights, so I’m apt to agree with you on this one!] This past Friday WMSD schools performed their Christmas concert. It was an amazing show and kudos to our children for having such positive attitudes and energy to perform and entertain us during this time. Two years ago was the last performance and I remember the room was _lled with the spirit. Friday reminded me of just how much we need that spirit and it felt so good to be somewhat normal with the holiday season. So a big thank you to all the music teachers and kids that performed. [Editor’s Note: They do put on quite a performance. My oldest son was heavily involved with the West Memphis music program back when he was in high school, and my daughter is in the Jazz Band now. As I have zero musical talent, I am always in awe of what people are able to do with their voices and with musical instruments. Glad you enjoyed the show!
