Sheriff Mike Allen tips his cap to 2020’ s retired officers

ralphhardin@gmail.com The life of a law enforcement officer can be a hard one, so when it’s time to turn in the old badge and gun, it can be a bittersweet time, but a time welldeserved.

Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen recently paid a little tribute to some of his recently-retired personnel via a post on the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

“The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department has had five deputies retire this year that have had over a 140 years of combined experience,” said Allen.

“Like I’ve always said, the trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off. Vince Lombardi once said ‘The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender.’” Allen ran through a list of deputies who have left the CCSO in 2020 by name.

“I would like to recap the men who have given so much of their lives to serving and protecting the Citizens of Crittenden County and serving with honor,” he said. “We salute…”
