Hats off to the new Marion mayor for bringing all of these new events to the city. It is nice to see something that gets this community together like the spring on the square they had Saturday. The weather could have been a little more spring but there’s not much you can do about that! [ Editor’s Note: Well, that’s what you get for calling something “ Spring…” anything around here. We only get Spring for like 15 minutes on a random Tuesday here in the Mid-South, otherwise it’s either Winter or Summer. But you’re right, it is cool to have stuff like that here in town. I’m glad to see our local communities like Crawfordsville and West Memphis too getting in on the gatherings. And a shout out to the Moms of Marion group on Facebook. They are behind a lot of these things like the recent Color Run. Oh, and in a couple of weeks the next bit “ on the Square” deal is coming up, with “ Splash on The Square,” with like waterfriendly inflatables. Should be fun!]

*** Well, another issue with the bridges and another big traffic jam. It’s just a matter of time before we get a huge problem and BOTH birdges will be blocked.

Did we learn nothing from the crack in the bridge?

That plan to have I-55 be one lane for three years is just insane!
