JONESBORO — At least a half-dozen high school football players have made recent verbal commitments on social media to sign with Arkansas State as part of the Red Wolves’ 2024 recruiting class.

Four of ASU’s commitments are projected to play in the secondary for the Red Wolves, a group that includes David Moore of Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley; Brandon Barnes Jr. of Dallas Skyline; Josh Stone of Carver-Atlanta; and Kemari Nix of Marietta (Ga.) Kell.

The Red Wolves have also received recent verbal commitments from Devin Spencer, a running back from Sumner High School in Riverview, Fla., and Jabari Bush, a wide receiver/tight end from Katy (Texas) Paetow.

Nix is projected as a safety after playing quarterback last season at Marietta (Ga.)
