Tornado Siren Testing The West Memphis Office of Emergency Management will conduct periodic tests of the city’s tornado siren warning system on Saturdays at noon. These sirens are located at: Tilden Rodgers Park, the J.W. Rich Girls Club, South Avalon at the VFW, 10th Street at Jackson, Goodwin at Garden Drive and MLK Drive at Beatty. Marion School Board The Marion School District holds its monthly School Board meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Central Office, 200 Manor Street, in Marion. The community is invited to attend all meetings.

MARS Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Clinic MARS of Crittenden County will hold a low-cost spay/neuter clinics October 3-5. Spay, neuter and vaccination services will be provided, with additional services available, including heartworm and FIV screening. For more information, visit arsofccar.org.

Civil Air Patrol Civil Air Patrol meets the first, second and third Monday of each month, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the West Memphis Municipal Airport.

WM City Council Meeting schedule: 1:30 p.m., on the first Thursday of each month; 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, at West Memphis City Hall, 205 S. Redding St., in West Memphis. All meetings are open to the public.

Join the Book Club The Woolfolk Public Library in Marion is launching a Book Club this fall. Signups are going on now. Stop by the library, 100 N. Currie St., to get an information packet. There will be a wide variety of books.
