West Memphis under new sanitation schedule for 2024

With the upcoming New Year’s Day holiday, all municipal ofces will be closed. The City of West Memphis will be running an amended holiday sanitation schedule next week to accommodate the holiday.

On Wednesday (today) crews will be doubling up for customers in Wards 1 and 2, with Wards 3 and 4 serviced on Thursday. There will be no pickups on New Year’s Day (Monday), with the city doubling up again on Tuesday.

Does your garbage bin runneth over with holiday trash? Be sure you know when the city will be running in your neighborhood to make sure you don’t get caught in an avalanche of wrapping paper, holiday leftovers and packaging material. Also, a reminder: If Santa brought you any big ticket items for Christmas, don’t leave clues at the curb, like TV or video game console boxes to tip of would-be thieves about your new goodies.
