Magnet School Selection Day

The Marion School District will hold its annual Magnet School Selection Day on Saturday, March 2, beginning at 7 a.m. This will be online only. Starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 2, families can visit the following link to choose their school: https://forms.gle /sQpbLo8zVNfYwEN38 (Link will be active starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, March 2.) Spots are limited, so families looking to choose a magnet school for their children for the 2024-25 school year are encouraged to act soon. Additionally, the district will kick off online registration for the 2024-25 school year on Saturday, March 2. Starting that day, families can register students for all grades (K-12) by visiting the Registration page on the district’s website at www.msd3.org/page/registration. Anyone who needs registration assistance can visit the MSD Registration Office from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday. The Registration Office is located at 230 Pine Street. WMPD March Madness basketball game, set for Saturday, March 9, beginning at 10 a.m., at Lehr Arena in West Memphis.

Tornado Siren Testing The West Memphis Office of Emergency Management will conduct periodic tests of the city’s tornado siren warning system on Saturdays at noon. These sirens are located at: Tilden Rodgers Park, the J.W. Rich Girls Club, South Avalon at the VFW, 10th Street at Jackson, Goodwin at Garden Drive and MLK Drive at Beatty. First Marion Mission

Auction & Steak Dinner Marion First Baptist Church, 2137 Hwy. 77 N., in Marion will be hosting its annual Mission Auction & Steak Dinner in support of its youth mission programs, Friday, March 1, in the Goodwin Life Center gymnasium at the church. Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m., auction starts at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the church or from any First Student Missions member. Dine-in and carry-out plates available.

Spring Sports Registration The Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club is holding registration for its spring sports leagues.
