Kidnapping suspect arrested in West Memphis

Lewis in custody on slate of charges, held on $150,000 bond

A Crittenden County man wanted for suspicion of kidnapping and other charges is in custody.

According to the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office, Courtney Lewis, 34, of Harvard Yard, was captured Friday after two days on the run.

CCSO officials say Lewis was found in a West Memphis Hotel on Thursday with the help of an anonymous tip and arrested early Friday morning. Lweis was wanted for a slate of charges including first-degree battery, kidnapping, and unlawful imprisonment with a risk of serious injury. He is currently in custody at the Crittenden County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
