people trying to get into our country for a better life, you should go back and look at what Trump and his Republican enablers just did to stop the bipartisan legislation that would have helped Biden shut down the border. We will now have to sit through eight months of Republican candidates telling us that they are going to go down to the Rio Grande and single-handedly solve the migrant problem when all the time they caused the problem in the first place.

Look folks, this ain’t rocket science. It’s way passed time for the people of this country to wake up, throw out the Republicans and vote in the Democrats. Then the voters need to put the pressure on the Democrats to use the “NEW FOUND” tax money in a responsible way and solve the inflation and crime problems that we have in these United States. Restore the progressive tax system that really did make our country great after WWII. [ Editor’s Note: I agree with most of what you’re saying here. There are simply so many issues that could be all but solved if these mega- rich billionaires and millionaires were taxed more ( and yes, I get trickle- down economics but what’s trickling the past 25 years or so ain’t rain).

Now, I do have to add that I don’t know that I’m super confident that the current make- up of the Democratic party would even know what to do with a sudden influx of tax money. There’s a line between progressive and reckless, and some of the far left is on the wrong side of that line]
