and enjoying all the sights and sounds that high school softball has to offer (He especially liked the dugout chants and especially did not like the section of the route that sent the wind into his face).

But really, now that the weather has finally turned nicer, we have the most fun just going strollering around the neighborhood. I’ve got a little route that’s a little over a mile, so we take that path and he gets to see the neighborhood and I get a little much-needed exercise.

The cool thing about it is that we live in the same neighborhood in Marion that I grew up in, so it also reminds me of the walks my sisters and I would take with my Mom back in the day, often with one of us pulling my baby sister in her wagon.

And speaking or my Mom, she also still lives in the same neighborhood, so oftentimes our little trek includes a little visit with Great-Mamaw and Great Pop-Pop. Sometimes my Mom even joins us and we have a little multi-generational stroll down memory lane.

And while taking care of (and chasing after a surprisingly swift) baby for hours at a time is admittedly exhausting for a 50-year-old — baby-wrangling is a young man’s game — I know it won’t be for long, so I’m going to happily enjoy our time together. My youngest daughter, and last kid at home, is graduating from high school in a little over a month, so I’ll need this little boy to keep me entertained. The stroller rides will hopefully help me improve my cardio, because I’m gonna need it.

I highly recommend finding yourself a baby to go strollering with!
