Over six decades ago I used to receive the “Evening Times” and although a month late it kept me in touch with home. Recently I renewed for another six months. One of my favorite pieces is the vitriol and misinformation of Robert Hall. Each week I check to see what buffoonery he can espouse. [Editor’s Note: First off, “buffoonery” is a fun, quality word. Second, thanks for continuing to read. One of the great things about our online “e-edition” is that it can be read anywhere in the world (and you don’t have to wait a month). As for your actual text, I absolutely get that Mr. Hall’s work isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. In fact, our own staff reporter often sends me a text on Wednesday afternoon lamenting that I continue to run his columns. And while I do think that Mr. Hall’s takes belong next to those of folks like Joe Rogan and Alex Jones (and you can take that as a positive or a negative depending on your point of view), I think he speaks to and for at least some percentage of our readership, so I’m glad he’s back to it after a previous hiatus of a couple of years. For those who aren’t familiar with the term, cultivated meat is grown from animal cells, without slaughter. By removing livestock from the process, we can lower the risk of zoonotic pandemics. Though the private sector has made admirable progress in developing the _eld of cellular agriculture, further government investment is needed to overcome technological hurdles. The most signi_cant of these is cultivated meat is currently too expensive to mass produce. Our leaders can help _x this with money for research.

[Editor’s Note: Speaking of fanatics, I wish I had kept up with how many messages I’ve gotten from “Cultivated Meat Guy” over the past few months. My friend, you seem very passionate about this. I don’t know if it’s a love for animals, a passion about the environment, or what but you keep on championing the idea of growing meat in a lab and I’ll keep running your stuff, but I still don’t ever see it catching on outside of a niche industry. But I thought that about the Impossible Whopper, so maybe
