After reading your column in Wednesday’s paper, sounds like you need to move to D.C. and join that freak show known as the Biden administration. [Editor’s Note: Is that really where we are now? Either agree with the government or get on outta here? No, I don’t think I will. This does, however, show exactly the kind of mentality that we are going to see in American (and state) politics now. There will be no attempt at cooperation, middle ground or bipartisanship. In any issue, you have to pick a side and no, you can’t like some of what this party is doing and some of what this party is doing. If I’m a Democrat, all Republican ideas are bad. If I’m a Republican, all Democratic ideas are bad. Biden… “the freak show”… I don’t get it. What is the “freak show” I’m missing? Hey, I said it when Trump was elected and I’ll say it now with Sanders in the governor’s seat. I hope for nothing but the best. I hope the economy booms, I hope the test scores go up, I hope crime goes down and I hope Arkansas is a better place four years from now than it is now. But I don’t see it happening when the main focuses seem to be gutting the public education system in favor of private (largely Christian) schools, putting minorities (and especially LGBT+) Arkansans in their place, and pretending that COVID-19 is either over or was simply blown out of proportion in the _rst place. And hey, we can agree to disagree. If those are all things you want to see, congratulations. We’ll see how it goes…]

OK this is just ridiculous!!! I have had it with Summit Energy. My gas bill ain’t never been more than $45.00 in the winter and like $15.00 in the summer this some bullI am sick of working hard just so someone else can enjoy my money!!! I called customer service rep 3 times to come do my meter reading and it has been NO SHOW 3 times!!!! The _rst person was suppose to get a tech out to check my meter (that never happened), the second person said they don’t send techs out and that my gas usage is really cheaper than what my actual bill says, and the third person tried to school me on gas and the economic impacts on my gas usage. This ain’t right!! [Editor’s Note: Let me _rst applaud your self censorship, but only three asterisks? What are those three letter supposed to be??? But seriously, this has become more than just a countywide issue. It has been a few months since Summit of_cially completed its takeover of CenterPoint and I don’t think they’ve gotten everything worked out yet. Yes, the cost of gas has gone up, so that explains some of the higher bills but people are reporting incredibly inaccurate and wildly uctuating bills from month to month. I personally have had it happen, and it is next to impossible to get a live person to talk to. I would de_nitely recommend as many people as possible contact the Arkansas Public Service Commission to air your grievances. You can contact them by telephone at (501) 6821718] If Marion wants to _x the street lights they can start with Block Street! If not for the lights from the businesses there wouldn’t be any lights there at all. It would at least make it easier to see the pot holes! [Editor’s Note: Just get on the Entergy app and report it. Hopefully, it will get taken care of. I do like the zinger at the end about the potholes though… wocka- wocka!]
