Another Day, Another Debacle

In keeping with enlightened advice about not trusting elitist media in this country, I am skipping all of Goggle's algorithmic-preferred order in my own search for news on the subject of any reference to Japanese Prime Minister Suga's official trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with the Biden Administration.

Those were, by the way: Whitehouse. gov, CNN, Reuters, LA Times, Brookings Institute, CBS News, ABC News, the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Did I leave any left-wing lackies out?

And what a coincidence! All prioritized by the Google Search Engine.

And, of all things, a second coincidence: All had glowing reports of the Prime Minister's visit at the White House.

Who knew?

What are the odds?

Fifty-fifty at least.

So, then I went to REAL search engines and found out the truth. Because I heard it was a shambles.

So, here is the first article from Gateway Pundit by Jim Hoft, April 17, entitled, ' It Was Worse Than We Thought:' “ It was way worse than we originally reported.

No one met Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga at the door when he arrived.

The only one standing there was a stationary Army guard.”

Here, Conservative Treehouse. com picks up the story: “Once Prime Minister Suga was inside the White House he was shunned for the greeting by his diplomatic peer, Joe Biden.

Instead, Kamala Harris was dispatched to deliver introductory remarks. Beyond the inappropriate form, the subtle message of Kamala Harris being the acting head of the executive branch was on display.”

Gateway Pundit:

“Then when Vice President Kamala was sent down to greet the Japanese Prime Minister she spent more than a full minute trashing the US as a violent place as Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga stood next to her waiting to be introduced.

“After ranting for more than a full minute, Kamala Harris finally welcomed Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga to the White House.

“What a disgrace!”

And

was just a brief preview of COMING ATTRACTIONS!

As reporter Steve Nelson reports in the New York Post, picking up the action at this point: “As Harris introduced Suga to TV cameras, two fighter jets flew low over the building as part of a poorly advertised celebration at a nearby World War I memorial, forcing the seemingly surprised vice president to halt her remarks.

“Later, Suga enjoyed the pomp of traveling by motorcade down the White House driveway to the north door of the West Wing to meet with the president. But Biden discontinued his predecessor's habit of greeting foreign leaders on the driveway for a handshake and Suga was instead welcomed by the White House chief of protocol, according to a pool report.

“Suga also wasn't treated to a meal with Biden due to COVID-19. And although Biden has been vaccinated against the virus, he wore two masks while seated across a table from Suga during indoor talks.”

BUT, WAIT! IT GETS EVEN WORSE!

Once PM Suga and Joe Biden sat down things got worse. By the time they both attended the Rose Garden joint press conference, Biden was calling Japanese Master's Champion Hideki Matsuyama “a boy”. Biden said:

“ I know how proud you are of the people of Japan are.

And you've got a Japanese boy coming over here, and guess what, he won the Masters.”

OMG!

Biden just turned a cordial political meeting into an international incident!

And, as if this were not enough, he then proceeds to butcher the Prime Minister's name in a nonsensical sentence that doesn't not even pass the smell test, and merits the dubious honor of a Third- Grade teacher's red pencil correction mark!

Here it is, gratis The Conservative Treehouse. com:

“And Yosi, I know how proud you are of people of Japan are,” said Biden.

“Looking past that weird sentence, he just called the Prime Minister of Japan “Yosi.” The man's name is Yoshihide Suga, so it should at least be “Yoshi” but even that is insulting.

This is kind of like if the Prime Minister referred to Biden as “Joey.” Actually since he flubbed it, it's more like calling him “Jobey.”

Don't believe it?

I didn't.

So, I viewed the YouTube video.

Then, a second timebecause I thought my eyes and ears were lying to me!

Then, I turned off the television and set my computer down and thought to myself, “And they want us to think eighty-million people voted for THAT!”
